Obituary For Felicia Latish Fortson

Felicia Latish “Tish” Pass-Fortson was born on September 1, 1980, in Athens, Georgia, to Helen “Hannah” Pass and the late Franklin L. “Preacher” Pass. As the youngest of four children, she brought special joy and love to her family, a gift that remained with them throughout her life.

Felicia was a beautiful soul who touched the lives of everyone she met. She had a welcoming heart and never met a stranger. Her special love for children and her passion for entertaining family and friends defined her spirit. Felicia was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Hannah and Ava, who were truly the lights of her life. She was also a loving and devoted wife to her husband of 12 years, Randall, who cared for her deeply.

Though Felicia was the youngest sibling, she often played the role of the family anchor. She loved her mother and family immensely, and she was always there to offer her love, support, and encouragement. Many children affectionately adopted into her heart were lovingly referred to as “her babies.” This capacity to love and nurture others was one of Felicia's many remarkable qualities.

Felicia's faith was an important part of her life. From an early age, she was a believer and follower of God. She joined New Bethlehem Baptist Church as a young girl, where her faith flourished and became a guiding influence in her life. Her commitment to serving others was evident in her care for family, friends, children, and her community.

Felicia was a proud graduate of Oglethorpe County High School, Class of 1999. Throughout her life, she dedicated herself to hard work and helping others. She was employed by Overhead Doors and St. Mary’s Hospital before joining the Oglethorpe County School System, where she worked until her passing.

Her time at Oglethorpe County High School brought her immense joy and allowed her to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students, families, and coworkers. Felicia’s dedication did not go unnoticed—she was honored as Employee of the Year in 2022, a recognition of the positive impact she had through her work and her love for those around her.

One of Felicia’s greatest joys was working on the Flavor food truck with her husband, Randall. For her, it was not just a job but an opportunity to spend quality time together, create memories, and share their love with others.

Felicia was preceded in death by her father, Franklin L. Pass; her brother, Franklin L. Pass Jr. “Bro”; her grandparents, Ruby and Lester Bonner and Olivia and Edward Pass; her godfather, James Pass; her niece, Amber Paige; and her dear cousin, Jermaria Long.

Felicia Latish “Tish” Pass-Fortson sadly departed this life on September 3, 2026. Although her physical presence is no longer with us, her love, laughter, kindness, strength, and beautiful spirit will continue to live on through everyone who knew and loved her.

She leaves behind cherished memories with her loving and devoted husband of 12 years, Randall Fortson; her two beloved daughters, Hannah Fortson and Ava Fortson; her mother, Helen “Hannah “Pass; her mother- and father-in-law, Mary and Lawyer Fortson; her brother, Kiatha (Elaine) Pass; her sister, Franquetta Lynette Pass; her brother-in-law, Reggie Fortson; her godmother, Nancy Pass; four aunts—Sartara Bonner, Phyllis (Stanley) Johnson, Tamara (Antwan) Freeman, and Janie Franklin; one uncle, Walter (Marinda) Bonner; five nieces—Ka’lah Paige, Khatia (Killien) Glover, Khaliya Pass, Kaitlyn Paige, and Keyondra Mitchell; three nephews—Khayin Pass, Devin Mitchell, and Christopher Mitchell; and a host of loving cousins, other relatives, special sisters, friends, coworkers, and the many “babies” she loved as her own.
