Obituary For Jacqueline B. Walker
Jacqueline B. Walker affectionately known as “JACKIE” was born on September 13, 1963 in Atlanta, Ga.to the late Virgil C. Shorter and Sylvia L. Walker.
On August 28, 2024 after battling a long fight with health issues…GOD whispered to Our Dear Jackie, the fight is over and called her to her eternal resting place.
To know Jackie was to absolutely love her. Although Jackie was raised in Crawfordville, Ga.; she relocated at a young age and became a proud resident of Springfield-Sparta, Ga. Jackie attended The Greene County School System. She enjoyed working many years for Stewart Apparel in Greensboro, Ga where she made many friendships.
In Jackie’s past-time she would love to hang-out and have fun with close friends and family. Jackie was a free spirit, despite of anything…she always did, whatever it was Jackie wanted to do!
** Jackie’s bright & Loving Spirit will truly be missed by all that knew and loved her!
Jackie was preceded in death by her beloved parents Virgil C. Shorter and Sylvia L. Walker.
Jackie was also preceded in death by her sister Sophia “Lynn” Walker.
Jackie leaves to cherish her sweet and witty memories for: her significant other Mr. Thomas Moss, her gracious god-daughter Ashley Reid, her devoted niece whom she thought of as a daughter- Simone Walker Mallory (Michael).
She further leaves to cherish her loving siblings: Denise Walker, Paul, Valencia, Harris, Jeffery Lynn, Darryl, Juanita, Virgil Demetrice and Quantavius R. Shorter.
She also leaves behind her caring step-mother Hattie Proctor Shorter, special friends: Susie Alexander, Lester Reid, Cassandra Mapp, Shirley Jarrells and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives and friends.
