James Johnson also known as "Tub" was born August 13, 1949, in Madison, Ga.
He departed this life late on January 15, 2024, in Athens, Ga. James was born to the late Johnny Love Johnson and Emma Drummond Johnson.
He worked at the poultry in Monroe, Georgia for most of his working career and a variety of other jobs around the Madison Georgia area. When he wasn't outside sitting on the porch or doing yard work, he enjoyed watching old western shows and sports (mainly baseball). He was also known for his spicy beans.
James was preceded in death by his parents Johnny and Emma Johnson, his wife Lois G. Johnson and brother Marvin Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters Mary Anne Jackson (Anthony) of Rutledge, and Nicole Johnson (Dwayne) of Madison, Ga. Four brothers; Johnny Johnson (Lillie) of Arnoldsville, Ga, Bill Johnson (Mary) of Madison, Ga. Anderson Johnson (Patricia) of Madison, Ga and Stacy Johnson of Covington. Two grandsons Mse' Dangelo and Lance Jackson, two granddaughters Arianna Jackson and Brianna Foster. Along with a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Services were Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel at Watts Funeral Home, Union Point, Ga. with Rev. Danny Ball officiating.
Keeping my Family Close in Carimg Thoughts and Prayers ..., my husband and I will miss James Johnson .
