Jasper Antonio Smith, age 41, of Union Point Georgia, transitioned on February 3, 2025. He was born on December 19, 1984, in Greensboro, Georgia, to Loyd Smith, Sr. and the late Frances Griffin-Smith.
At an early age, Jasper accepted Christ as his Savior while attending St. Paul Baptist Church. He received his early and formal education in the Greene County School System.
Jasper was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Griffin-Smith, and his brother, Marcus Smith.
Jasper had a love for caring for his dogs, goats, and enjoyed working with his hands, often building and repairing things. To many, he was known for his quiet and gentle spirit, but within his family, he was strong-willed and bossy—a trait that brought laughter and unforgettable memories. He will definitely be missed.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his siblings, Katrina Thomas, Crystal Moss, Stephanie Smith, Jennifer Smith, Eureka Smith, and Loyd Smith, Jr.; his special sister-like cousin, Gwendolyn Smith; one niece, Miah Smith; two nephews, Skyler Smith and DeAndre Callaway; and father, Loyd Smith, Sr.; Aunts: Julia Brown, Lula Kendricks; Loretta Smith, and Helen Smith; Uncles: Lewis Smith, Gary Smith, and James F. Randolph, and a host of cousins, relatives, friends, and mentor, J.D. Carter.
