Jeremiah DeโSean Walton or "Jay" as my mom called me, was called home on June 20, 2021. I was born on August 9, 2004 to Fasion Merritt of Crawfordville, GA and William Walton of Eatonton, GA. I was an upcoming senior of The Class of 2022.
I loved both basketball and football. I was always seen with one or the other. I enjoyed spending time with my siblings, listening to music, trying new foods and sleeping. It was always my pleasure to lend a helping hand whenever I could. My Bond with my brothers was impeccable. All we did was make memories. In the words of my brother Shod "Jay told us too many stories and we had to many good times."
I leave behind memories with my entire squad. My eight brothers: Jermauri Merritt & A'Derrian Johnson of Crawfordville, GA., Rashod Daniel, Rhi'Miare Johnson, Kinelius J Watford all of Eatonton, GA, Londyn Walton, Kae'Lub Walton and Ayden Montgmery all of Tennessee
My two sisters: Shamyia Walton and Tytiana Little both of Eatonton, GA. My Niece: Genesis Walton of Eatonton, GA
My Grandparents: Gerald Evans of Jacksonville, NC, Johnny Dunn of Eatonton, GA, Belinda Merritt of Madison, GA, Mary Robinson of Eatonton, GA, and Cathy (Derrick) Bell of Monroe, GA
My uncles who were all special to me. My Angel "Uncle Frankie" Dunn of Decatur, GA, Ralfeal (Erica) Miller of Madison, GA, Dontavious (Shannon) Miller of Covington, GA, Jerome (Shawntie) Johnson of Eatonton, GA, Charlie Walton of Eatonton, GA, Mark Merritt of Greensboro, GA, Charles Resse Jr. of Eatonton, GA Michael Evans of Covington, GA, Gerald Evans Jr of Monroe, GA and Davion Armour of Athens, GA
My Aunts: Marjorie (Arthur) Mapp of Union Point, GA, Angie Lane, Takia Gresham and Alicia Evans of Crawfordville, GA, Shanice Evans of Monroe, GA, Kendra Evans of Covington, GA, and Latasha (David) Grier of Sparta, GA
And a ton of cousins, friends, great aunts, great uncles, and family that I accumulated over the years.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 1, 2021 from the Taliaferro County School Gym at 2 pm. We ask that all attendees wear a mask.
