John Robert Hall was born on December 29, 1944 in Greene County, Georgia to the late Luther & Florence Hall. John Robert Hall, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and family patriarch. John peacefully entered eternal rest at his home on February 4, 2026, at the age of 81. John attended Greene County Public School and later went on to work at Sparta Furniture Manufacturing Company in Sparta, Ga. for 18 years.
John was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Josephine Hall. Together, they shared 60 beautiful years of marriage, building a life grounded in love, faith, and family. Josephine preceded him in death.
John was also preceded in death by his parents Luther & Florence Hall, his two beloved children, Tony Hall and Freddie "Pa" Hall; and his brothers, Luther Hall Jr., Ruben Hall, Edward Hall, Weldon Hall, Sylvester Hall, and Eddie Hall.
John leaves to cherish his loving memory to his devoted son, Alonzo (Jelitta) Hall of Greensboro, He is also lovingly remembered by his six grandchildren, Brittany, Ambria, Alondra, Kei'aja, Freddarius, and Braylon, and his one cherished great-grandson Zion. His beloved brother, Will (Evelyn) Hall of Atlanta, Georgia; and his sisters, Virginia (Milton) Robbins of Greensboro, Georgia, Annie B. (Earnest) Griffin of Forest Park, Georgia, and Dorris Hall of Lithonia, Sister-In-Law Pearl Hall of Greensboro, Ga. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
John was a man of quiet strength, wisdom, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy will live on through the lives he touched, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
