Mrs. Johnnie Mae Robbins was born on March 09, 1937, in Hancock County to the parentage of the late Mr. John Wesley and Mrs. Annie Myrtle Foster. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 21 years Mr. Ernest-Gary Robbins and brother, Danny Robbins.
Johnnie Mae joined New Green Spring A.M.E. Church in Sparta, Georgia at an early age where she was a faithful member until her health began to decline. She was educated in Hancock County public schools. She was employed at the sewing factory for a short time before having to stop work and become a caregiver for the love of her life which she married May 09, 1964 and out of that union was five beautiful children.
She was a beacon of light to all that knew her. Her smile was both loving and enduring. She enjoyed cooking and feeding people and was known for her delicious sweet potato pies. Always showed love to her family, those grand kids and great grandkids were her heart.
On Sunday, Mother's Day, May 14, 2023, Johnnie Mae gained her heavenly wings peacefully at home as she desired. She leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted children, Jacqueline Foster, Earnestine Foster, Randy (Lorvetta) Robbins Sr., Aretha Robbins, Linda (Rocky) Jarrells; Two brothers: Charlie Frank (Mary) Robbins, John Henry (Anna) Robbins; Six grandchildren: Zachary Miller, Myrtice Robbins, Marla (Thadeus) Brown, Randy Robbins Jr., Chiquetta Robbins, Keyera Jarrells; Eight great grandchildren: Caleb Lewis, Christian Robbins, Makhi Brown, Bryson Miller, Taliyah Bishop, Landon Robbins, Autumn Robbins, Roxy Jarrells; Two sisters-in-law: Sarah Robbins, Mary Francis Robbins; One brother-in-law: Perry Lee Cobb, and a loving host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
