Dear Kayden,
It's still hard to believe you're gone.
Even though we didn't talk all the time, there are memories I'll always carry with me. I remember when we rode the bus together. I remember you wanted to tell my mom thank you for standing up during what happened with the bus driver. That's something I've never forgotten.
One of the last times I saw you was at the store, about a week or two before you passed. All I can remember is you smiling and saying, "Bye, Christian." I never thought those would be some of the last words I'd hear from you in person.
The last messages I remember from you were, "I ain't like Tray" and "Don't even play." At the time they were just messages, but now they're memories I'll always keep.
I wish we could've talked more. I wish I had another chance to see you, laugh with you, or just say goodbye one more time.
To your twin and your family, I'm praying for you every day. I know there are no words that can take away this kind of pain, but I pray God surrounds you with His peace, comfort, and strength.
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." — Psalm 34:18
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Please be with Kayden's family, especially his twin. Hold them close during this heartbreaking time. Give them peace when their hearts feel overwhelmed, strength for each new day, and hope that only You can give. Surround them with love and remind them they are never alone. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Kayden, thank you for the memories we did share. You'll always be remembered, and you won't be forgotten.
Until we meet again,
Christian
