Obituary For Kenneth Charles Lawson

Mr. Kenneth Charles Lawson was born on December 3, 1968, in Crawfordville, Georgia, to the late Oscar Lawson Jr. and Delois Ushry Lawson.

Kenneth attended primary school in Crawfordville and later attended Greene County Comprehensive High School in Greensboro, Georgia. Kenneth entered the workforce early and became known for his strong work ethic, kind spirit, and generous heart.

At an early age, Kenneth joined Friendship Baptist Church in Crawfordville, Georgia, where he attended faithfully during his youth. His faith remained an important part of his life and guided him through both good times and difficult days.

Kenneth worked for many years as a line cook and was well known and beloved throughout his community for his laughter, humility, and compassion toward others. He had a deep love for animals and took great pride in caring for dogs, which brought him much joy throughout his life.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted sister, Bernice Lawson; aunts – Mattie Mae Lawson (Otis Mays), Allene Oliver (Crawfordville, GA), and Marie Stewart (Chicago, IL); uncle – Willie L Ushery Jr. (Candace Ushery); and two very special cousins, Gaylane Bowman and Willie Lawson, who were always there to lend a helping hand.

He will also be remembered by a host of other relatives, friends, and community members who loved him dearly.

Kenneth’s gentle soul, kind smile, and loving nature will remain in our hearts forever.
