Mrs. Lois Stephens was born on April 7, 1937 in Washington, Georgia to the late Ida May Champion. Lois was the fourth out of five children. All her siblings sadly preceded her in death. At an early age she accepted Jesus Christ in her life at New Salem Baptist Church. Lois was a very dedicated housewife and loving mother to her kids. She had a passion for cooking and going to the Senior Citizens Center to be with her family and friends. She was united in Holy matrimony to the late great Thomas Stephens and together they shared 44 years of marital bliss until death do them part. They had five children and two preceded her in death Thomas Stephens, Jr. and Robin Stephens.
Lois leaves to cherish her legacy and memory to her children: Bobby (Betty) Stephens, and David Stephens of Greensboro, Georgia and Mary Larry Smith (Siste) of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother-in-law Sandy Stephens of Jacksonville, Fl.; two sisters-in-law Nusette Stephens and Niagara Stephens; nine grandchildren (one deceased); thirteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
