Mildred Nesbitt-White was born June 1, 1963 to the late Mrs. Beatrice Nesbitt and the late Mr. Harvey Nesbitt Jr in Woodville, Georgia.
At an early age she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with St. Paul Baptist Church. Mildred continued to serve the Lord and fellowship at Beulah Grove Baptist Church located in Augusta, Ga.
Mildred was a graduate of Greene County High School (the Class of 1981) in Greensboro, Ga and Georgia College in Milledgeville, Ga, where she earned her bachelor’s in Business Administration.
Mildred started her professional career at Walmart on September 1988 and she dedicated 30 plus years to the company. She received numerous accolades for her hard work and dedication.
Mildred was such a wonderful person. She had a witty charisma about herself, and she loved people. She could make you laugh, and you laughed out loud. She was so caring. She helped people no matter what her situation was. She would bring people into her home and feed and shelter them because she had so much empathy for others. She enjoyed cracking jokes, but she was serious about what she was saying. She was the person anyone could get drawn too. Her beautiful smile was infectious, and she always knew what to say to make you smile and feel special. She loved the Lord and walked with him daily. But if you messed with her children, she would put her halo to the side for a moment to get you straight and then she would smile again. She absolutely adored her children. She loved them with every fiber of her being. Over the years, she has struggled with illness stemming from her kidney failure but that was never an excuse for her. She wanted to be there for the important people in her life. She was barely making it sometimes, but she would still find the time and strength to help others. She lived a life of service to all mankind. She was a true AKA in her heart. She also loved her Sorority sisters and friends. In her circle, she was everybody’s favorite friend because she was so dependable and non-judgemental. You could be real with her, and all of your secrets were safe. Now Mildred’s legacy will live on through her family and friends.
Mildred leaves behind her husband Kenneth White, Sr. She will be greatly missed by her two children Amber Arnold and Justin Arnold, four grandchildren Skyla Arnold, Chase Arnold, Candence Arnold and Summer Mitchell; her sister Carolyn Strong, her three brothers: Harvey (Mildred “Jean”) Nesbitt III, Dennis Nesbitt and Rodrick Nesbitt, step-son Kenneth White Jr. One brother proceeded her in death Ricky (Linda) James. She also leaves two loving and dedicated friends: Latonya Parrott and Evelyn Wright and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in laws, other family and many many friends
Home Going service will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from the St. Paul Baptist Church at 1 p.m. with Rev. Michael Lumpkin Presiding and Pastor Willie Chester, Eulogist.
