Obituary For Patricia H. Roberts
Patricia Roberts Pat (so fondly known) passed away at home surrounded by loved ones peacefully on 05/14/22.
Patricia Ann Hall was born January 11, 1949, to the late Annie Hall Spratlin in Philomath, Georgia. She graduated from Oglethorpe County Consolidated High School in 1966 and attended Clarke University in Atlanta. She worked for BellSouth before she was employed by Alston and Bird in Atlanta, Georgia in 1973 in their accounting department until her retirement in 2015.
She joined the Springhill Baptist Church at the age 8 years old. She served faithful until leaving for college. She returned for Church celebrations to support her family and her church.
She married David L. Roberts and they had one son, David Kierre Roberts. She is preceded in death by her mother, Annie H. Spratlin, grandparents, Dea. Floyd and Cora Hall, uncles Deacons William and John Hall and aunts Ms. Elizabeth Frazier and Ms. Fannie Baskin.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her son David K. Roberts, his wife Suna Roberts, one granddaughter Destiny Ceyda Roberts and two great-grandchildren Lyla and Liam McCombs; sister Vicki J. Spratlin, two sisters' instrumental in her care Mamie Williams and Ernestine Fears and a host of cousins, friends, coworkers who will remember he r with love, smiles, and laughter.
From your son and a testament to your love, guidance, support, and strength for surviving and enduring the most difficult odds to raise me as a single parent; I cannot be prouder to call you my mother, my inspiration and share with all those who will hear me, my unconditional love for you.
An incredibly special thanks to Alston and Bird who had only wonderful and beautiful words of encouragement to express regarding her and about how they missed her and how she was an inspiration to others always.
And one more heartfelt thank you from you r little sister- Thank you helping me to grow up to be the person I am and taking time from your busy life to help take care of our mom with such dedication and loving care. I hope I keep making you proud. Love you from your "Lil" Devil.
