Obituary For Ralph P. Brown

Death plucked a flower from our garden on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 and Deacon Ralph Preston Brown was called from earth to Heaven’s reward.

Ralph Preston Brown affectionately known as Jackie was born on March 25, 1947, in Greensboro, Georgia to the late Rev. Robert Preston Brown and Rosa Mae Brown. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Charlotte Wright and a son Ralph Preston Brown, Jr. (Lil Jackie), and seven siblings Moses lee, George, jerry, Claudia Bell, Judy, Mae, Dietrice and Ricky.

He spent time in the military serving for the United States Army and as he served his time there, he earned the role of being an Army Chef. Jackie was always full of life and known for his kindness, humor, dedication to his family and faith.

Jackie found joy in going to church consistently, collecting firearms, spending quality time with his grandchildren, cooking and gardening. He leaves behind many cherished memories with those who knew and loved him.

Jackie is survived by his two daughters: Deirdra McCommons and Cheri Porter; grandchildren: Marcus, Shermerria, JaMara, Dalvin, Aundreus, Aquemini, & Rymell; great-grandchildren and one sibling/; James Brown. Jackie also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.

Service were Friday, January 30, 2026 from the Macedonia Baptist Church 1031 Cunningham Rd. Greensboro, GA at 1pm with Rev. F. Gambrell, Eulogist.
