Robert Lee Glenn, Sr. was born on January 20, 1941 to the late Marvin (MC) and Carline Glenn in Philomath Ga.
He was preceded in death by four siblings: Dorothy Jones; Sarah Nell Hall, Willie C. Glenn & Marvin Glenn; one daughter Crystal H. Glenn and two grandchildren.
Robert worked as a construction worker until he retired from it. He loved fishing, hunting, dancing and was well known in Athens, Crawfordville and Greene County. Where ever you went you were bound to hear one of his nicknames (Bo, Cat or Wolf) and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
During his early life Robert married the late Lucille Mallory-Glenn ad to this union three children were born: Rogers Redair (Deon) Glenn of North Carolina; Rick (Lori Catherine) Glenn of Carlton, Ga. & Mervin D. Glenn of Washington State.
Later in life he married Barbara Glenn and to this union six children were born: Teresa L. Glenn of Athens, Ga., Robert L. Glenn, Jr. of Monroe, Ga., Jennifer Glenn of Monroe, Ga., Melissa (Rodrick) Hampton of Athens, Ga., Gregory A. (Melanie) Glenn of Rayle, Ga.
Robert had a life partner of 26 years Regina Chapman of Crawfordville, Ga., with whom he spent his final years with and to this union two children were added Isazel Chapman, Latanya Chapman-Turner (Tavaris M. Turner, Sr.).
Robert leaves behind to cherish his memories in addition to his children, three sisters: Corine Glenn of Rayle, Georgia; Mary Ann Armour of Greene County and Carrie D. Beck of Cleveland, Ohio; special siblings: Betty Davenport of Athens, Ga., Michelle Harris & Michael (Velma) Harris of Crawfordville, Ga.; thirty-four grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
Watts Funeral Home, Union Point is in charge of arrangements.
