Obituary For Rose Marie Edwards

Ree, as we all fondly called her, will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Though she was a woman of few words, she had a warm and loving heart. A dedicated wife and mother, she passed away on September 20, 2024.

Born in Augusta, Georgia to the late Lois J. Moore and James Stewart. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Myron Moore, Philip Evans, and Marilyn Brinkley.

Rose was a former employee of Chipman Union and then with the United Postal Service. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and especially her grandchildren. In her past time, she loved doing her crossword puzzles and eating out at her favorite restaurant. She joined Friendship Baptist Church at an early age and graduated from Greene Taliaferro Comprehensive High School in 1986.

She was joined in holy matrimony to Frederick Edwards of 38 years. To their union was added three children: Frederick Edwards (Kimberly), Tiwana Edwards of Crawfordville, Georgia and Jameil (Raven) Edwards of Covington, Georgia.

In addition to her husband and children she leaves her grandchildren: Courtney Gaston, Deven Gaston, Fredrick Gaston, Adysen Gaston, Victora Tate, Jeremiah Edwards, Harriyuna Edwards, Jaylynn Edwards, Jameil Edwards Jr, Nazyah Edwards, and Noah Edwards; great grand: Kahlil Tate; siblings: Reuben Moore (Essie Moore), James Moore (Teresa), Charles Moore (Sherlonda), Brenda Davis (Vernon), Patsy Smith (Grady), Tiwana Harper (Earnest), Michelle Moss (Willie), Linda Weaver (Jerome); sister-in-Law: Bessie Moore; father-in-law: Robert Edwards Sr.; brothers-in-law: Michael Edwards, Willie Edwards, Robert Edwards Jr., & Samuel Edwards (Rita); loving niece and nephew: Shanika Edwards & Rocky Smith and host of other nieces and nephews; aunts: Mary Howell, Mildred Moore, Sally Champion, Patricia Cooper; uncle: John Henry Barcus, other relatives and friends.
