Mr. Sammie David Randolph was called to rest on April 9, 2024. He was born on June 6, 1939, in Crawfordville, GA, to Mr. and Mrs. Willie L. Randolph. Sammie embraced his faith early in life at New Salem Baptist Church in Washington, GA, where he served on the usher board and was a dedicated member of the Prince Hall Masons.
Throughout his life, Sammie wore many hats, working diligently in various roles. From his time at Chipman Union in Union Point, GA, to his tenure at Edison Plastic in Washington, GA, Sammie also took pride in his work as a dairy businessman and carpenter.
In 1959, Sammie married the love of his life, Mrs. Alene W. Randolph, who preceded him in death on August 15, 2016, along with their beloved daughter, Angela Randolph, in 2000. Despite the sorrow of their passing, Sammie leaves behind a legacy of love and strength.
He is survived by his devoted children: Tommie (Michelle) Fanning of Crawfordville, GA, Ernestine (Rodney) Thomas of Conyers, GA, Pamela (Jerome) Booker of Crawfordville, GA, and Vickie Randolph of Conyers, GA. Sammie's memory will be cherished by his grandchildren: Mikeo (Kristy) Fanning, Lametria (Rodney) Suber, Dominique (Kendra) Moore, Anthony D. Jackson, Troirica (Patrick) Brown, Quintika Smith, Kristen Randolph-Robinson, and a host of great grandchildren.
In addition to his family, Sammie will be deeply missed by his siblings: Albert Lee Randolph and James Randolph of Union Point, GA, and Sylvester (Nancy) Randolph of Cincinnati, OH, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends, caregivers, and special friends. Among his cherished companions were the Atlanta Area Deer Hunters Club, with whom he shared many memorable moments.
Sammie David Randolph will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his strong work ethic, and his enduring love for his family and friends. May he rest in eternal peace, knowing he was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.
Funeral service will be held Monday April, 15, 2024 from The Watts Funeral Home Chapel , Union Point GA. at 11a.m. with Rev. Cecelia D. Armstrong, Eulogist
