Ms. Shirley B. Allen was born to the late Mr. Fred Bess and Mrs. Romelia Mitchell Bess on January 22, 1947 in Union Point, Georgia. She was a woman who read the Word of God and communed with God daily. She instilled Godly principles into her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.
In the latter years of her life, Shirley worked as a phone receptionist for Watts Funeral Home. She enjoyed providing assistance to families who had lost love ones. Additionally, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Often, her kids and grandkids would congregate at her home and enjoy each others company.
