Obituary For Wilbur Canal Rhodes
Wilbur Connell Rhodes was born on August 24, 1959. He was preceded in death by his parents, Annie Love (Willie C) Drake and Jesse Lee Rhodes. Also preceding him in death were his siblings: Harold Rhodes, Willie (Mac) Rhodes, Barbara Ann Neal, Stella D. Lawrence, Betty Turner and Debra Rhodes Lawson
Wilbur received his education from the Greene County School System and was employed with the City of Union Point for over 30 years.
His memory will be forever cherished by his devoted wife Lakisha Gresham; his children Marquavious (Angelica) Mitchell, Maurnesha (Douglas Jr.) Brown, Kevon Gresham, Whitt’nee Rhodes, Wynston (LaDaisha) Rhodes, Wilbur Rhodes Jr., Beautiful Gresham, and his precious eight grandchildren. His loving sisters: Sandra Weaver and Annie Ruth Moody. His mother and father in love Sarah Haynes and Delone Burdette. Sisters and brothers in love: Gloria Haynes, Margarette (John) Joubert and Machelle Gresham (Alfred) Strong Jr., A host of nieces, nephews, cousin and some friends.
Service Saturday, August 16, 2025 from Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Union Point, Ga at 1:00 p.m. with Minister C. Thornton Eulogist.
