William “Donell” Scott was born on December 15, 1968, to William and Mildred Scott of Stephens, Georgia.
Donell attended the Oglethorpe County School System and graduated from Oglethorpe County High School. He worked for several years at the University of Georgia and later found his place in agriculture as a farmer.
Donell had a love for cooking and truly enjoyed bringing family together. Whether it was a meal, a gathering, or simply spending time with loved ones, he made those moments count. He will be remembered for the way he valued family.
He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, William and Mildred Scott; his sister/cousin, Quintisha “Quint” Meadows; his godbrother, Wilfredo “Fredo” (Lawanda) Moses; his god-niece, Alysses Williams-Scott; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Graveside service will be held Thursday, April 30, 2026 from the Athens Memory Garden 5195 Lexington Rd, Athens, GA 30605 at 11am with Rev. Michael Routh giving words of comfort.
