Obituary For William Earl Ellis

Mr. William Earl Ellis, Billy, was born on February 22, 1950 to the parents of the late Clayton Ellis and Mary Beeland Ellis of Greensboro, Georgia.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his siblings: Tommy, Curtis, Ronnie, James, Elaine, Lewis and Mary Lou.

On April 18, 2026 he passed away at the age of 76. He was a dedicated employee of Greene County Roads Department where he retired.

He is survived by his sister Laura Yearwood (Keith); daughter Bonnie Ellis and sons: Rod and Mark Ellis; grandchildren: Domonique Montgomery (Justin), Connor Merritt, Dylan Ellis (Ashlyn), Lindsey Ellis, Noah McGhee (Alex), Evan Ellis and Emma Ellis; six great grandchildren with number seven on the way; multiple nieces, nephews, cousins and friend.

Billy was well known and loved by many. He was a cut-up and loved to make others laugh. He was always willing to help others. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral service will be held Friday, April 24, 2026 from the Bethesda Baptist Church, Union Point, Georgia at 12pm with Rev B. Lovin giving words of comfort.
