Mrs.Eva Mae Powell- Jones,age 95,made her transition on January 28,2021,after a short illness. She was a resident of Montgomery,AL . Her parents were the late Melvin Long,Sr.and Bertha Long Ford. she was also preceded in death by first husband,Frank Powell,Jr.;and by second husband Robert Jones. Mrs.Eva Powell-Jones joined Pleasant Grove Baptist Church(Dempsey Street)at an early age.With cherished memories,Mrs.Powell- Jones leaves a devoted daughter Mrs.Teressia (Lewis deceased)Powell-Grant,Montgomery,AL;a loving son Dr.Alfred(Sherri)Powell,Memphis,TN;three grandchildren,Yolanda Venetia Grant,Montgomery,Alfred Steven Powell,Boston,Massachusetts;Alden Terrence Powell,Memphis,TN and many extended relatives and friends.Graveside Services 11:00 am.on Saturday at Eastwood Memorial Gardens,Montgomery,Pastor Darryl Hall ,Officiating. 1hr visitation on Friday 3:30-4:30 pm. at Webster-Progressive Funeral Home,Shorter,AL.Please wear Face Mask due to COVID Virus at the funeral home and cemetery.
