The Obituary
Ms. Artazia Dashauna Simpson (a.k.a Tae Tae/a.k.a. Queen Stacey) was born on April 14, 1998 to Trena and Bobby Simpson in Gadsden, AL.
She was a social butterfly who was know to many. It didn’t matter if you were five, thirty-five or seventy-five, Artazia never met a stranger. She graduated from Gadsden City High School where she was a member of the class of 2016. At the time of her passing, she was enrolled as a full-time student at Gadsden State Community College because it was her dream to become a Substance Abuse Counselor so she could help the next person. From the time of her birth, she attended New Testament Holiness Church under the leadership of her beloved uncle, Pastor Prince Brown.
On March 11, 2021, she was called to rest. Artazia was preceeded in death by her great grandparents, Herman and Laura Boulding; grandmothers, Margaret Billingsley and Lorene Simpson; and her grandfathers, Joe Cephus Russell and Lee Earnest Simpson, Sr.
Artazia leaves to cherish her everlasting memories: her precious son, Karmikal Simpson; her loving parents, Trena and Bobby Simpson; her beloved sister, Aletzantra Simpson (Tyrone Woods); two adorable nieces, Elyssa and Elycia Simpson; two loveable nephews, Elijah and Ethan Simpson; 9 aunts, Francies (Darrell) Martin, Cynthia (Y.C.) Crozier, Tameka (Roderick) Stephens, Shirley Lett, Edna (Sylvester) Ashford, LaTasha (Allan) Jordan, Annie Bell Posey, Tracey (Josh) Posey and Systemtric Posey; three uncles, Paul (Carla) Williamson, Lee Earnest Simpson, Jr., and Cliff Posey; great aunts and uncles, Prince and Dorothy Brown and Michael and Julia Toyer; cousin who her first best friend and more like a sister, Amiah Harris; friends for life whom she shared wonderful times with, Samaiyah Bufford, Azah Lane, Sade Fleming and Florana Waker; lifelong best friend since kindergarten, Mary Katherine Smith; and a host of many more loving family and dear friends who will miss her face, her smile , her attitude and her spirit.
Homegoing services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the Morning Star Baptist Church, Attalla, Al. Pastor Jeremy Bowman officiating. Internment: Lincoln Hill Memorial Park. Public Visitation will be Friday, 12am-6pm.
