Azah Elizabeth Martin was born on June 20, 2006 to Mary K. Martin and Stanley V. Jones. Her Aunt Pam gave Azah her name because Mama swore she was having a boy, until her last two weeks of labor, she found out she was having a girl, and she was so happy, they named her Azah. As a baby she was always getting into stuff. She asked her mom” Can I sleep on your head! “ Her dad would mess around with her and call her “Punk, Punk!” and she would try to say it back “Nump, Nump You nump” so her nickname as a baby to this day from her dad is Nump. She is his nump.
As she got older she grew love for doing her own hair, eyelashes, and eyebrows. She taught herself everything she could about hair, lashes, and brows. By high school she had it down pat. She would do other people’s hair and lashes. That’s how much she loved hair and teaching herself new things, she loved to learn! She graduated high school in 2024. Her first job was at Wendy’s and she dearly loved it; she honestly was a workaholic.
Azah’s favorite color is orange, she loved to be bright like her soul. Her favorite bible verse is Psalms 23-6. She loved to sing in the shower to gospel music. She does have a favorite rapper too and it's Rylo Rodriguez, she had a special love for music. It's her happy place! Azah’s favorite food is seafood boil! She loved spending her quality time with her friends and family. She loved her job and who she worked for (Mellissa). Her favorite brand is juicy couture, she loved her some juicy! From the sleeping clothes, outfits to the purses and blankets! Azah was an “It Girl” she loved dressing up and getting cute for herself. She loved to have a good time, whether it was going to a party or partying at home, getting food to eat at the boat docks. She loved the docs, she loved being in nature. Azah life ended too soon, the love she left behind will never end.
Azah passed away September 3 2026. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bobby Joe McLoud, Douglas Martin, Bobbie Martin; brother, Michael Martin; aunts, Cindy Martin and Cassandra Jones; uncle, Joseph Jones; cousins, Darrell Norris and Michelle Norris.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories her mom, Mary K Martin; Dad, Stanley V Jones; grandmother, Rita F Jones; siblings, Alicia Williams, (Kevin Williams), Michael Martin, Bobbie Martin Salter, (Rayshawn Salter), Meikayla Jones, (Anthony “Nip” Burns), Brian Martin, Christopher Reynalds, Jasmine Hurst, and Desira Jemison; aunts, Carol Lynch, Pamela Martin, Sherri Norris, and Tiffany Jones; uncles, Darrell Norris and Tony DelaRosa; nieces, Nevaeh, Tori, Bella, Alora; nephews, Dee, Dell, Damian, Christopher, Alix; cousins, Katie (Jeffery), Cayla, Becca (James), Peter (Kyle), Steven, Erik, Samantha, Ryan, Jon, Blake, Matthew, Jesse, Kaitlyn, Tobias, Uriah, Riley, Oakley, Jackson, Noah, Indie, Emorie, Ivy, Lexi, Billy, and Nathan. Everyone that Azah knew, just know all of you were very special to her. She didn’t have just one special friend! She had a world full of special friends and she treasured each and every one of you!!!
