To the Moody family. Charlie was a true OG of green pasture, he was known by many people for his bike riding and helping others keep their bikes going. Charlie played his music while riding. He was always friendly. I don't think he met a stranger. Tuscaloosa Ave loved him, Penny profit loved him. He will be missed. Take your rest Charlie. Gone but never forgotten. There is always a story behind you.
Dear Moody Family and Friends,
I extend my heartfelt condolences to you on the passing of Charlie. At 90 years old, Charlie lived a full and meaningful life, and his presence touched many more people than he likely ever realized.
I fondly remember Charlie riding his bicycle throughout Green Pastures and the city of Gadsden. He was a familiar and comforting sight—steady, faithful, and always moving forward. In many ways, he became a living symbol of Green Pastures itself. Charlie was truly a legend of the community. More than anything, Charlie carried a good spirit. His life reflected kindness, simplicity, and quiet strength. He leaves behind memories that will continue to bring smiles. May you find comfort in knowing that Charlie's legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. May God grant you peace, strength, and assurance during this time of loss.
With sincere sympathy,
Rev. John Stephens
My Dad Boonie Humphries was a good friend of Charlie's. He used to ride his bicycle to our house often. He and Daddy sat on porch and talked and swatted flies for hours. Charlie loved us and my family loved him. Rest in peace
