Ms. Christy Leigh Pogue, 54, of Gadsden, AL, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025.
She is Survived by her loving family.
Ms. Chisty Leigh Pogue was born on March 14,1971 to the late Gerald Lee Pogue & Freda Jean Shell in Gadsden, AL.
She was a graduate of Big Spring High School.
She was employed for over fifteen years at McDonald’s as a manager.
Christy loved praising and worshipping the Lord. She united with Mission Baptist Church, and she loved her church family.
She was passionate about Halloween decorations, spending time with her family, watching her shows and movies, and collecting insects and animal skeletons. She loved plants and photography.
Christy was preceded in death by: Her parents; her nephew, Jonathan Flowers; uncles, Johnny & James Pogue; aunts, Brenda Bishop and Judy Wise, and many other family members.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories to: Her grandmother, Vera Eugene Kirk; nieces, Gracelynn Hooper and Heaven Kliest; nephews, Matthew Flowers, Christopher Canter, Levi & Matthew Pogue, Devantae Lavon and Demirits Ladon; brothers, Jason Pogue, Gregory Scott Pogue, and Gerald Keith Pogue; aunts, Deborh Palmer, Jennifer Kirk, Ann Ogle, Lynn Kirk and Jo Ellen Pogue-Puckett; uncles, Jackie Pogue and Pete Shell; several cousins; special friends, Her McDonald Family, Mission Baptist Church Family, Chris Folkes, Amber Hooper & Family, Pamela Pogue and several others (too many to count). A host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 5pm on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Mission Baptist Church.

Christy will be greatly missed, she was a part of my McDonald's family for years and even when she had to go out of work we stayed close like sisters. She was greatly loved and had so many McDonald's children. Christy fly high my friend until we meet again.
