DONALD McGHEE
Mr. Donald “Prunnie” McGhee was born to the late Mr. Warren Edward, Sr. and Lillie Mae Stockdale McGhee in Gadsden (Etowah County), Alabama.
Early in life, he accepted Christ and his Lord and Savior. He attended Union Baptist Church. His faith was the quiet strength behind everything he did and the peace that carried him through life.
In 1977, he received his diploma. He was a smart graduate from Emma Sansom High School.
Mr. McGhee was preceded in death by his father, Warren Edward McGhee, Sr.; mother, Mrs. Lillie Mae Stockdale McGhee; one sister, Minnie B. McGhee and one brother, Dennis McGhee.
Family and friends will remember Donald as being a respectable man, loving father, brother and uncle. Those remembering and celebrating his many memories are his only son, Mr. Cory Lamar (Latasha) McGhee; brother, Warren Edward, Jr. (Shletha) McGhee of Gadsden, AL; eight grandchildren, Junquinta Mostella of Gadsden AL, Shekeria Young McGhee of South Carolina, Dashawn Freeman of Gadsden, AL, Shana Sayles of Gadsden, AL, Cory L., McGhee, Jr. (Zanijah Taylor) of Gadsden, AL, Coryell McGhee of Gadsden, AL and Dashanqur McGhee of Gadsden, AL; six great grandchildren, Zymarrion Jackson of Gadsden, AL, Derrick Given of Gadsden, AL, Zimir Young-McGhee of South Carolina, Noelle Horton of Gadsden, AL, Royal Peters of South Carolina and Zariah Mostella of Gadsden, AL; six nieces, Tonia Thomas of Gadsden, AL, Stephanie Guinn of Gadsden, AL, Letitia Trimble of Gadsden, AL, Tamara Mostella (Carl), Whletha (Mustafa) Pointer and Kelsey Trimble of Gadsden, AL; one nephew, RaKeim Davis; one brother-in-law, Derrick Macon of Gadsden, AL and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins; great nieces, great nephews, special friends, Bill Avery and Tony Tolbert of Gadsden, AL and a special thanks to McGuffey HealthCare and Riverview Hospital
