Dewayne Fitzgerald Byers, the third son of Barbara Byers departed this life early Tuesday morning, February 18, 2020 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, Alabama after a long bout with illness. Wayne as he was affectionately called, was born February 21, 1964 in Gadsden, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Naomi Coleman and brother, Kenneth Byers. He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Barbara Byers; three daughters, Candace Pitts of Rome, GA, Naudia Croft and Treasure Byers of Gadsden, AL; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; four brothers, Frank (Cathy) Byers of Birmingham, AL, Phillip (Charlotte) Byers of Gadsden, AL, Aubrey Byers of Harrisburg, PA and Michael Byers of Gadsden; two sisters, Tara Byers and Lawanna (Mike) Williams of Gadsden, AL; two very caring aunts, Linda Wright of Dallas, TX and Arretta Thomas of Gadsden, AL; two special aunts/cousins, Gail (Robert) Avery and Maxine Davenport of Gadsden, AL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a very dear and special friend, Sybil Cole.
