For a Soul Still Growing

Meeting you for the first time 7-8 years ago you have been consistent with your character Loving, cheerful, helpful, always got jokes and stayed talking about a new plan for a better life. I asked the questions no one else wanted to of you and you gave your honest truth, so here are my last words that I wrote just for you. You had a life filled with love, lessons, mistakes, growth, joy, pain, confusion, and moments that mattered.

Because the truth is, it's not always about how you started... it's about how you finished.

We are all given chapters we didn't write perfectly. We make choices we wish we could change. Sometimes we hurt people we never intended to hurt, and sometimes we carry wounds caused by others.

But what matters is what we do with those lessons. What matters is whether we learn. Whether we grow. Whether we find our way back toward love, toward forgiveness, toward God, and toward the peace our souls were searching for.

And today, let love be bigger than everything else.

Love does not mean we forget the pain. Love does not mean we pretend confusion never existed. Love means we can remember the truth and still choose compassion.

We can honor the person who passed while holding tenderness for the people who may have carried pain because of their choices.

We can grieve. We can forgive. We can remember. We can heal. And we can release what our hearts were never meant to carry forever.

Because every soul is still learning. Every soul is still growing. And perhaps when this earthly journey ends, the spirit continues where our eyes cannot follow— learning, understanding, healing, and drawing closer to God's light.

So may we not judge a person's entire existence by the moments when they struggled to become who they were meant to be.

May we remember how they finished. May we remember the growth. May we remember the love they were capable of giving. And may we leave room for the possibility that their soul had lessons still unfolding.

Today, I pray for his soul. But I also pray for every soul connected to his— the ones who loved him, the ones who miss him, the ones who struggled to understand him, and even the ones who may still carry pain.

May God meet each heart exactly where it is.

May forgiveness come when it is ready. May healing come without being rushed. May peace replace what no longer needs to be carried.

And when we remember him, may we remember not only how his story began, but how he chose to finish it.

Because sometimes the most beautiful part of a life is not that it was without mistakes— but that somewhere along the way, the soul kept learning how to love.

Rest peacefully. 🕊️ May God receive your spirit with grace. May your lessons become wisdom. May your journey continue in light. And may everyone you touched find peace in the places where your lives once crossed.
