Forrest Ernest "DAD" Erwin passed away on May 17, 2021 at Brookwood Medical Center.

Forrest “DAD” Ernest Erwin was born on December 29, 1958 to the parentage of the late Forrest Ernest Russell and Dorothy “Dot” Nell Erwin.

He attended Gadsden City School System in Gadsden, AL.

He confessed Christ at an early age.

Forrest “DAD” Ernest Erwin loved people. He would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed the shirt. He loved to read his bible and loved to recite different verses of the bible. He was a good dancer and that was his hobby.

Forrest “DAD” Ernest Erwin was preceded in death by his father, Forrest Ernest Russell; his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Russell; his favorite girl, his grandmother, Mrs. Rosie Lee “Mu Dear” Sandridge.

Forrest “DAD” Ernest Erwin leaves to cherish his memories: His mother, Dorothy Nell “Dot” Taylor; Son, Zebulon Jemison, all of Gadsden, AL; Sisters, Willie Ruth “Monk” (Kenneth) Irish of Sugar Hill, GA, Donna Kay Erwin of Gadsden, AL, and Pamela Russell of Buffalo, NY; Brothers, Michael Anthony Erwin, Randy Erwin, both of Gadsden, AL, and Travis Russell of Buffalo, NY. A special sister-in-law, Linda Erwin of Centre, AL. A host of nieces, nephew, cousins and friends. A very special cousin, Marlon Russell.

Funeral services will be Sunday, May 23, 2021 at 3:00 at New Canaan Baptist Church. Eulogist: Pastor Edward Jones Public visitation will be Saturday, 12 noon-5pm Interment: Lincoln Hills Memorial Garden

To Dorothy Nell and Family I'm going way back! 11th Street Projects. I just heard about the passing of Dad told Kaye and Frankie, they send their love and sympathy with prayers! I remember Dad as a quite little boy, sweet as ever! I never knew his real name just always called him Dad! We love you guys! Always your family in the projects! Sister, Kaye, Gracie and Frankie Boy Tolbert.
