Mr. Jamey Lamar Helms was born in Cherokee County, Alabama, on April 14, 1977, to Mrs. Naomi Hudgins and the late Mr. George Helms. He obtained his GED and enjoyed mechanic work and racing. His favorite saying was, “I’m Hungry.” He would always give someone the shirt off his back, no matter what. He loved working on vehicles and being there for his family. He was preceded in death by his father, George Helms. He leaves to cherish his loving memories to: his wife, Kathy Helms; daughters, Jessica Helms and Heather Hamilton; sons, Michael Helms, Austin Helms, Jeremiah Helms, and Brian Helms; mother, Mrs. Naomi Hudgins and stepfather, Randy Moon; grandchildren, Dayshon Johnson, Laiya Johnson, Jace Helms, and Lucas White; niece, Mackalya Helms; brothers, Waylon (Chrystal Herring) Helms and Darrel Helms; aunts, Lisa Gentry, Sheila McDaniel, Joe Larry and Pearl Smith; uncle, Phil Hudgins; in-law, Lester Waits; brothers-in-law, Timmy Waits and Robby Waits; son-in-law, Quentavous Johnson; daughters-in-law, Marissa White and Alyshia Taylor; cousin, Jarvis Hudgins; special friends, Alyson Rhodes, Byron Womack, Willie Epps, Terry Middlebrooks and P.J. Pangle and a host of other family members and friends.
Public Viewing will be 2 P.M.- 8 P.M. Saturday, March 11,2023 in the (Betty D. Robinson) Chapel of West Gadsden Funeral Home with burial Following .

Jamey , you helped me when everybody was trying to beat me down , they got me bubba but you not hee to see l love you dude you always be the man RIP I holla soon if your family needs anything l can do just say it
Jamey was a real good dude since I've known him he's helped me out with my vehicles and told me what I needed to fix them it's hard to believe he's gone. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. We miss you Jamey.

Jamey was without a doubt one of a kind and was dang good mechanic and one of my closest friends he always looked at the bright side of things and would help anybody however he could... I love ya buddy and I'll never forget you
He enjoyed working he painted my car he and he know how picky I was but he done good on it he was very like bye so many I have known him for years he was A very good friend to me and Barry Jamey you will be miss and now you are at rest
