Mr. Jimmie L. Bothwell, Gadsden, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
Mr. Jimmie L. Bothwell was Born on January 16, 1947 in Ragland, AL, to parents Mr. and Mrs. Alphonzo J. Sr. Bothwell.
He began his Christian journey at the Morning Star Baptist Church in Ragland, AL. He connected with the Mt. Zion Baptist Church after moving to Gadsden with his family. Later he united with the 1st Baptist Church of Alabama City, Rev. J.M. Woods, Pastor. Reunited his membership with the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Gadsden, AL., Z. Andre Huff, Pastor.
He graduated from Carver High School, “Wildcats” Gadsden AL. in 1966. Joined the USAF and worked at Goodyear.
Jimmie entered eternal rest on January 3, 2023. He is preceded in death by: his son Larry Bothwell, father Alphonzo Sr. and mother Geraldine Bothwell. Special brother Jeffrey Bush.
He leaves to cherish his memories: Sons: Carlos Ortega Bothwell (Bonita) of Fairfield, AL., Andrew Bothwell of Gadsden AL. Andre Bothwell (Kristi) of Leesburg, GA., Corey Bothwell of Gadsden, AL. and Daughter Alicia Leonard-Lewis 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and brother Alphonzo Jones Bothwell, Jr. (Drusilla) of Birmingham AL. and Sister Jamesia Bothwell Topeka,KS. Special God Sister Rhonda Kendrick and Special Niece LaTangela Tucker nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Jimmie L. Bothwell Memorial Service will be Saturday January 7, 2023 12:00PM Mt. Zion Baptist Church 508 Allen St. Gadsden, AL. 35903.
