Obituary

Ms. Juanita B. Horton began life’s journey on August 1, 1965 to the parentage of the late Mr. Robert Wise and Ms. Alma Jean Horton Hicks in Chicago, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, David C. Williams and son Cedric Horton. She accepted Christ as her Lord and personal Savior. She united with Friendship Baptist Church, Attalla, Alabama and later attended New Canaan Baptist Church, Gadsden, Alabama. Ms. Horton attended Attalla City School Systems. She had a passion for helping others, giving to the needy, music and spending time with her family.

On Saturday, April 4, 2020 God, knew that it would be a big day for Juanita. Her probationary status on this earth ended, and her permanent reign with the Lord began. Juanita leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Latoria Horton of Gadsden, AL; sons: Donnell Horton of Gadsden, AL, Demetrius Horton of Gadsden, AL; brother, Cedric (Denise) Horton of Clinton, MD and sister Gwendolyn Booze of Attalla, AL; ten grandchildren; grandsons - Devin Horton, Jace Kilgo, Kyontae Horton, Ethan Lloyd; granddaughters – Victoria Horton, Jordan Horton, Za’Niya Horton, A’Yonna Horton, Yacia Horton, Deliah Horton, Zora Horton; two great grandchildren – Tenli Horton and Satoria Horton, one special aunt, Douchie Hill, special cousins, Frank Cash, Freddie Hill, Katrina McKenzie, Goddaughter, Tasha Blount and special friends, Samuel Wyatt and Linda Pearson that she loved so much; other family members and Friends.

Funeral Services for Juanita Horton will be 1 P.M. Saturday April 11, 2020 at the New Canaan Baptist Church Rev. Edward Jones Officiating.
