Mrs. La Sheta McGruder,48, of Gadsden, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
Mrs. La’Sheta McGruder was born on January 1,1976 in Gadsden, AL to Mrs. Wendy Robinson Watson and the late Morris McGruder.
On March 2,2024, she heard the Master’s call and answered.
She confessed Christ at an early age and united with the First Baptist Church of Alabama City under the leadership of Reverend John Woods Sr.
La’Sheta was educated in the Gadsden City School System and attended Emma Sansom High School.
La’Sheta loved the Lord and going to church and was supposed to be ordained to be a minister on October 17, 2023 under the leadership of Prophet Lane.
She loved her family with a passion and liked hanging out with them.
She loved making T shirts, taking her grands to the park and shopping with her favorite aunt/mother, Shasta Robinson.
La’Sheta was preceded in death by: her father, Morris McGruder; grandmother, Mrs. Evelyn Robinson; grandfather, Emmette Robinson and grandson, Nyreek Horton and brother, Antwon Pearson.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories to: her parents, Mrs. Wendy (Johnny) Watson; grandmother, Mrs. Dorothy Watson; her husband, Reginald Turner; daughters, Quonetra (Joshua) Reid, Ymari Sturkie and Raga Turner; Sisters, Karon Robinson, Gia Robinson, Kamyla McGruder, Arma Norris and Malaysia Watson; grandkids, Zora Horton, Javier Sturkie, Jaylen Stockdale, Jamarious Stockdale, Journee Rei, Kylon Bledsoe, Khanse Bledsoe and Kaizlyn Leach; Special aunt/mother, Shasta Robinson; aunts, Mitzi (Frank) Allen, Sharon Watson, Jackie Watson, Teresa Mostella, Teresa Robinson, Arlene Robinson and Rebecca Robinson; uncles, Torusunto Robinson, Horice Robinson and Robert Williams; great uncle, Marlone (Charcey) McCraney; niece, Kerri Jackson; nephews, Abriez Robinson, Juguan Sandridge and Zion Kirby; cousins, Denise Jordan, Teuila Robinson, Sharmeta Gamble, Anthony Robinson, Christopher Robinson, Karla Wagner, Ebony Allen, Torusunto Brooks, Catrell Glover and Tony Jordan; special cousin, Jake Rutledge; special friends, Jennifer Hill, Rolanda Sturkie, Ashley Williams, Beverly, and Janzetta Goldsby and a host of other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be Friday March 15, 2024 from 12noon-6pm. Family Hour will be from 5pm-6pm
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 1:00pm at the New Canaan Baptist Church. Eulogist : Prophet Lane Interment: Lincoln Hill Memorial Gardens.
