Mrs. Marjorie R. Leach, 72, of Gadsden , passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022.
Marjorie Russell Leach was born to the union of Tommie and Evelyn Russell on August 26, 1949, in Gadsden, Alabama. In the prime of her youth, she attended and in 1968, she graduated from Carver High School. She met and married the love of her life, Sylvester Leach. She accepted Christ and served United Christian Church as an Elder for many years. She will be remembered as a great prayer warrior who knew the power of prayer. Preceding her in death were her husband, Sylvester Leach; her parents, Tommie and Evelyn Russell and her sister, Gwendolyn Russell. She leaves to cherish her loving memories to, her son, Gregory (Angela) Leach; daughters, Tonya (James) Taylor, Amy Leach and Kenya Benjamin; sisters, Vera Williams and Annette White; brothers, Jimmy (Ora) Thompson, Tommie (Angelia) Russell and Rod (LaTressa) Russell; aunt, Lucy Madden; grandchildren, Anthony Leach, Calvin Leach, Tamela Threatt, Jose Castillo, Felipe Castillo, Deverick Timmons, Marcus Castillo and Jamal Riggins; fourteen great-grandchildren, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives; many longtime devoted friends and special friend, Robert Lee Lindsey, Sr.
Family Hour will be Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 4-6pm. Funeral services will be 12 Noon Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at West Gadsden Funeral Home (Betty D. Robinson Chapel)

There are so many things I could say but I'll just say I loved her and she loved me. I could and would talk to her about anything. She would always tell me God was going to handle every problem I had. I don't think I ever saw her mad except for when Greg left his class ring at upward bound and I wouldn't give it to him. She wasn't playing. I'm praying for you guys and I love y'all
