Mr. Benjamin Franklin Kelly, 77, of Attalla, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023.
Mr. Benjamin Franklin Kelly was born on April 23, 1945 in Attalla, Alabama to Mr. E.K. Kelly & Mrs. Mattie C. Burton Kelly. He was a graduate of Norris High School class of 1963 and then transitioned to the United States Army as a Private E-1 (P) and became a decorated badge and metal recipients of National Defense Service Medal, Expert Badge(M-14), Second Class Gunner Badge (M-60), Marksman Badge.
He was blessed to join Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. He was dedicated to his work. He even tried to be a Barber. He loved fishing, baseball, football and grew to love of golf. He was also known as everyone’s favorite Uncle Ben! He was preceded in death by: Brothers Alek Kelley jr., Charles Kelley, and Wille Kelley; Sisters, Lorine Kelley, Allie Mae Williams, Tommie Lee Thomas, and Christine Kelley James. On Monday morning January 16, God Spirit whispered, it’s time to come home son and rest.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories to: His daughters: Chinder Ankofski of Detroit MI. and Denise Rudolph of Attalla, Al; Sons: Mario Green of Detroit MI, Stredrick Carter of Atlanta, GA., and Benjamin Kelley Jr. of Attalla, AL. A Host of Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, cousins, and special friends. Public viewing will be Friday, January 20, 2023 at 1:00pm. Family hour will be from 6pm-8pm. Services will be Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11:00am at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Eulogist: Pastor Jonathon Granger. Interment: Lincoln Hill Memorial Garden.
