Mr. Quinton Cordale Baker,37, of Gadsden, AL passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024
Mr. Quinton “Yank” Cordale Baker was born on September 5, 1986, to Ms. Tanya Baker Tripp & Anson (Alethia) Carter in Gadsden, AL.
He confessed Christ at an early age and joined the James Temple A.O.H Church.
Quinton was educated in the Gadsden City School System and was a 2006 graduate of Gadsden High School.
Quinton loved riding his bicycles and he enjoyed traveling. He enjoyed family and friends getting together. Always had a smile on his face and he was certainly the life of the party.
Yank has traveled to many places. Across the country twice and his passion was to see the world. He would be in Gadsden one day and California the next. He lived his life with much joy and adventure.
He is preceded in death by: his grandmother/mother, Myrtle Mae Summerville; grandfathers, Roosevelt Crayton and George Jackson.
He leaves to cherish his beautiful memories to: His mother, Tanya Baker Tripp; father, Anson (Alethia) Carter; Grandmother, Yolanda Jackson; Special kids, Aniya Williams, Taniya Williams, Tyrelle Brasher and Tyler Brasher; sisters, Gabrielle Baker, Jasmine Carter, Ursula Miller, Chantara Williams and Christina Cothern, all of Gadsden, AL; brothers, Dyron Tripp of New Jersey, Tyron Tripp an d Anson Baker, both of Gadsden, AL; aunt, Tonya (Terry) Agee; uncles, Drake Kirkland and Fred (Delicia) Carter; great-uncle, Zachary (Maggie) Dupree; Special cousins, Nikki Dupree, Talia Perkins, Corey Avery, and Terrance Huntley; Special friends, Keatha Suttle, Arnetta Vickers and Donika Harris. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
We ask that you please keep this family in your prayers during their time of bereavement.
Public Visitation will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 4pm-7pm at West Gadsden Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Mission Baptist Church.

I remember the first time I met Quinton, he entered the door first grade. The joy and kindness he brought into the classroom. My sincere condolences to the Baker family.
