West Gadsden - announces the passing of Mr. Randy Smith,64,Gadsden,passed away Friday, Jan 19,2024.

Mr. Randy Smith was born on May 17, 1959 in Gadsden, AL to the late Mr. Leo Smith Sr. & Mrs. Lola McCarriel Smith.

On January 19, 2024 he heard the Master’s call and answered.

Randy served in the United States my from 1977-1980.

He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ until his health failed.

He loved sports and grew up playing softball during the summer with his brothers.

He was a class of 1977 graduate of Gadsden High School and was employed with Watts Construction and Tyson Foods.

Randy was preceded in death by: His parents, Leo & Lola Smith; Siblings, Roy Smith, Cleveland Smith, Lee Curtis Smith, Deloise King and Norman Smith.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories to: His sisters, Cathy Smith and Angela Smith, both of Gadsden, AL; Brothers, Robert Lee Smith (Alvia) of Saks, AL, Leo Smith Jr. (Vickie), Freddie Smith (Danita) of Gadsden, AL, and Gary Smith (Donna) of Snellville, GA; Aunts, Joyce Smith of Birmingham, AL and Creola Smith of Brooklyn, NY; Uncles, Roosevelt Smith Jr. of Midfield, AL and Charles Smith of Detroit, MI; Sister-in-laws, Elizabeth Smith and Karen Smith, both of Atlanta, GA; Brother-in-law, Larry King of Gadsden, AL; Special friend, Fernando Ball and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be Friday, January 26, 2024 from12noon-6pm.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Henry Street Church of Christ. Eulogist: Reverend Anthony Norwood Interment: Lincoln Hills Memorial Garden Repast: Fellowship Baptist Church
