Mr. Roy Michael Carroll, 66, of Gadsden, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023.
Mr. Roy Michael Carroll was born on January 25, 1957 in Gadsden, AL to the late Richard Carroll & Helen Estes. Mike was saved at a young age and he loved the Lord and he lived for the Lord.
He was educated in the Hokes Bluff School System and a graduate in the class of ’75.
Mike’s heart was huge. His love was deep for his kids and grands. He was the best husband, father, grandfather and brother. His friends brought about some of his happiest moments. We as a family, got to hear about lots of “fun times’ from his classmates. His hobbies were yard selling, Volkswagons, fishing, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Carroll & Helen Estes; A grandbaby, Darla Steele; Brother, Todd Carroll; Two brother-in-laws, Dewey and Butch Couey.
He leaves to cherish his beautiful memories to: A loving wife, Sabrena Carroll; Daughters, Brandi (Mark) Frazier, Gina Carroll, Debi Carroll and Shelby (Mikal) Steele; Son, Spencer Ratledge; Chosen son, Gene Pinela; Sister, Renae (Tim) Hulsey; Aunts, Alice Faye Helms and Sherry Ledbetter; Brother-in-laws, Glen, Shane, James and Billy; Mother-in-law, Elaine Quarles; Special friends, John Bryan, Ken Spraggins, Zac Chambers, Tom Gilmore, Lynn King, Kevin Sauls, Michael West, and Gary Eubanks.
The family would like to acknowledge Compassus Hospice Care, Lisa Roper Smith and all of his nurses, his bath lady, Stacey and medical equipment guy, Joseph.
Special thanks to anyone and everyone that prayed, cried, shared a kind word, brought food, money, baskets of goodies, flowers or any token of kindness, please know that myself and my children truly appreciate it all. We would also like to thank Folkvar MC for everything that was raised and done for him in the benefit ride to honor him.

A Memorial Service will be Tuesday, March 27, at 12noon-5pm at West Gadsden Funeral Home (Betty D. Robinson Chapel).
