Obituary For Mrs. Eleanor Ruth Radney

Mrs. Eleanor Ruth Radney passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2021 at Riverview Regional Medical Center.

A TIME TO BE BORN….. Eleanor Wilson Radney, daughter of the late Rev. Theodore R. Wilson and Juanita Savage Wilson, was born October 2, 1947 in Fayette County, Alabama.

A TIME TO DIE…… Eleanor departed this life on Friday, June 18, 2021 at Riverview Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

A TIME TO PLANT….. After relocating to Gadsden, Alabama with her parents, at an early age, Eleanor joined the Galilee Baptist Church in Gadsden, Alabama under the pastorate of E. W. Jarrett.

Eleanor was a 1965 graduate of Carver High School, in Gadsden, Alabama. During her tenure in high school, she took on the responsibility of assisting of the rearing of her younger siblings while their mother completed her college education. After high school, she decided to further her education at the National School of Business in Nashville, TN. Even after graduation, Eleanor loved her Carver Wildcats c/o 65, and attended and participated in class reunions and other class activities.

In November 1967, she was united in holy matrimony to Harold C. Kimble. To this union, one child was born. Eleanor utilized her business skills, her love of people, and her passion for sewing in various areas of employment. In 1992 she gained employent with the State of Alabama, and remained until her retirement.

Eleanor was known by many and loved by all. She loved and enjoyed life and her family. She served as president of The Breakfast Club. She

loved playing cards, bingo and Auburn football. She was known by her beautiful smile, and gentle and caring spirit.

A TIME TO LOVE…. Eleanor was united in the bonds of holy matrimony to Clifford Radney, Sr., and to this union, one child was born.

A TIME TO CRY…. She was preceded death by her parents, Rev. T.R. Wilson and Juanita Savage Wilson, her brother, Roland Wilson, and grandson, Tre’Juddine.

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory: two loving and devoted children, daughter, Yolanda Kimble and son Clifford (Erica) Radney, Jr. (Gadsden, Alabama); three grandchildren, Jordan Juddine, Joshua Juddine (Gadsden, AL) Javen Radney (Montevallo, AL); one great grandchild; Jaidence McCord; four siblings, Anthony (Desiree) Wilson; Angie (Larry) Thornner; Juanita Nicole Wilson, all of Gadsden, Alabama ,Maurice Shawn Wilson (Albertville, AL) Special Nephew, Bryan Thornner, (Camp Humphreys, South Korea) Special Niece Juanita (Tyrone) Franklin (Birmingham, AL); aunt, Mary Shelly (Rome, GA), uncle, James (Carrie) Wilson (Land O Lakes, Florida), a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A TIME OF PEACE… Eleanor is now at peace, resting on her constant faith in the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus.

Public viewing will be Friday, 12 noon-6pm. Services will be Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the Galilee Baptist Church at 12 noon. Eulogist: Reverend Dr. G.E. Robinson Sr. Internment: Lincoln Hills Memorial Cemetery.
