Mrs. Jacqueline Looney, 59, of Ashville, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021 at Grandview Medical Center
Mrs. Jacqueline Eulice Jones- Looney was born July 20, 1962, to the union of the late Ross, Sr and Eunice Williams Jones.
She was preceded in death by both parents, brother – Kelvin Jones, sister- Valephine Bothwell, nephew- Randolph Graves and brother in laws- Bearl Graves and Clinton Reid.
Jacqueline accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and joined Overcoming Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ Ashville, AL. Jackie was educated in Ashville Schools, graduating in 1980.
Jackie enjoyed cooking and eating, family and friends, just relaxing at the kitchen table, on the porch or in the yard while visiting with her family and neighbors.
She loved to write and would always say’ “I am going to write a book about my life.” She loved church, especially when her uncle Charles would preach. She had a passion for jewelry. Although she didn’t know much about football, she wore her Alabama gear with pride. Her favorite saying was, “I pay my bills.” Her favorite color was blue. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her memories to: Husband, Joe Looney; Partner/Better Half, Randy Ragland; Daughters, Amplias Looney, Alexia Looney, Amanda Looney, Stephanie Whorton and Twanda (Steve) Buchanan; Sons, Joe Looney III. and Fredrick (LaTonya) Williams; Sisters, Beverly Graves-Reid and Elsie Jones; Brothers, Charles Whisenant Sr. and Ross (Linda) Jones Jr.; Aunts, Mary Sandridge, Carrie Woods, Adella Williams, and Genora (Curlandrew) White; Uncle, Bishop Charles (Patricia) Williams; In-Laws, Linda Whisenant, Benjamin Bothwell Sr., Mary Ann Looney, Ella Wallace Bothwell, Katherine Bothwell, James Looney, Shirley Bonner, Willie Looney, Charlotte Bothwell and Debra Lilly; Special friends, Juanita Looney, Alice Williams and Nora Williams and a host of other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be Friday, August 13, 202112-6pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Overcoming COOLJC at 1:00 pm Eulogist: Bishop Terry A. Jones, Bishop Charles Williams Pastor
