Mrs. Royal Lena Pointer passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021.
The Obituary
Ms. Royal Lena Pointer was born on May 3, 1945 in Sheffield, AL. to the late James Gray Eastland and Mary Sue Woodard-Eastland. She was a graduate of Sterling High School and studied Business at
Gadsden Business College.
Mrs. Pointer accepted Christ at an early age.
Mrs. Pointer favorite hobby was cooking from scratch and baking. She also loved taking care of her numerous plants year-round. Mrs. Pointer was an entrepreneur in her own rights. She would come up with some absolutely great ideas on things to sell for the holiday or year- round. Her main goal was to make different baskets filled with great products that matched the holiday/occasion. Long story short, all material was purchased, laid out neatly to be put together, she didn’t know how, so I (Francesca Lowe) was tasked with all the work without
being told until the day of.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James Gray Eastland & Mary Sue Eastland; Son, Dennis Eastland; Brothers, Jefferson Eastland, Jessie Eastland, James Eastland, Robert Eastland, George Eastland and Frank
Eastland; Sister, Margarette Mae Eastland.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Daughters, Frankie Eastland of Huntsville, AL and Francesca Lowe of Madison, AL; Brother, Henry Eastland of Florence, AL; Four grandsons, Justin Eastland, Joshua Lowe, Jordan Lowe, Madison, AL and Christopher Eastland of Schenectady, NY; Eight great-grandchildren, Rayna Eastland, Kaleish Eastland, carter Eastland, Rhode Island, Coventry, R.I, Christopher Eastland, Lakelyn Johnson, of Madison, AL, Kennedi Lowe, Kamiah Lowe of Huntsville, Al, and Lively Raine Lowe of Madison, AL; One granddaughter, Khalijah Lowe of Huntsville, AL; Special grandson, Jabriel Lowe of Huntsville, AL; Devoted niece, Mrs. Peggy Jones; Devoted nephews, Sherrod Goodlow and Henry Eastland Jr.; God-son, Robert Treadwell of Gadsden, AL; Sister-in-law, Caroline Eastland of

I will greatly miss my Aunt Lena. She always supported me in whatever a participated in. One memory I have of her is meeting a train I was on. I had a performance in Gadsden. When the doors of train opened in Gadsden she was there to greet me with a BIG Hug! Rest in peace. Love, Dedra, Don, Tiara and Carolyn
I have fond memories of my Aunt Lena. She was so funny and had a great sense of humor. She loved her family and will be greatly missed.

Sis.Pointer will be surely be missed. We would laugh when she was Pastor Robinson nurse and we sat together. Sending our condolence to the family.
