Mrs. Zepora M. Robinson-Gilbert, 77, Eclectic,Al. Passed away Wednesday, December 28,2022.
The Obituary ZEPORA MARIE (ROBINSON) GILBERT was born on May 28, 1945 to the late Reverend Dr. David. E. Robinson and Fannie Mae Young Robinson in Elmore County. Zepora was the fifth oldest child born to Reverend D.E. and Fannie Mae Robinson.
Zepora was the wife of Thomas Nelson Gilbert for more than 53 years. Together they shared and raised three sons: Keith Matthews (Darlene), Alex Gilbert (Donna), and Jerrold Gilbert (Sonya).
Zepora accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, Eclectic, AL and faithfully served and supported the church until the time of her departure.
Zepora loved her children and family more than anything and loved to cook for them. She would do anything she could to help her family no matter what anyone else’s opinion. She would always go above and beyond to make sure her children and family had what they needed. She was the number one supporter of The Shiloh Spirituals in which her sons have been involved in for over forty-two years. She also loved to spend time shopping with family and loved to dress. She would talk to her family and children on a daily basis before becoming ill. Even after becoming ill, Zepora never lost her love and memory of her family.
Zepora departed this life on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the Baptist East Medical Center in Montgomery, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Gilbert, her parents Rev. Dr. D.E. and Fannie Mae Robinson, a brother, James Robinson, and one sister infant Linda Jean Robinson.
