Ms. Angela V. Swain, 70, of Gadsden, AL, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024.
She is survived by her loving family.

Angela Victoria Swain, aged 70, passed away on September 23, 2024, in Gadsden, Alabama. Born on April 5, 1954, Angela dedicated her life to caring
for others in her cherished profession as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Angela graduated from Emma Sansom High School and furthered her education at
Lansing Community College, which paved the way for her nurturing career in nursing.
Her commitment to health and care deeply impacted those around her, making her a respected and beloved figure in her community. She found spiritual
nourishment and community at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, where she was an active member.
Angela's passion for reading, music, theater, and dance provided her with immense joy, enriched by the arts and culture.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Swain; siblings Phyllis Swain, Ivan Hawkins, Valencia Hawkins Derek Swain, Nikki Swain; her niece, Kenya Swain and cousin Jason Vernon.
Angela is survived by a loving and extensive family, including her mother, Shirley Hawkins; siblings Christalyn Threatt, Juan Hawkins, Rose Swain, Lisa
Swain, and Arthur Cofield; her children Nikita Dothard, Anthony Swain, Eron Swain, and Niegle (Angela) Swain. Her life was further blessed with grandchildren Sevoy (Sarah) Swain, Eris Dothard, Hannah Dothard, Ian Dothard, Niegle Swain Jr., Jalisa Swain, Jazmine Swain, and Keyonna Swain, as well as great-grandchildren Brantley Swain and Jayce Swain. Angela also leaves behind her aunt Marcia Vernon,
cousin Shawn Vernon, thirteen nieces, eleven nephews, and numerous friends and extended family members who will miss her dearly.
Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 1pm at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church.
