PrinceBraylon Taylor, 28, of Gadsden, AL passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023.
Prince Braylon Kantez’ Taylor was born on January 5,1995 in Gadsden, AL to the proud parent of Tameka C. Strickland.
Braylon was a straight “A” Honor roll student throughout his elementary school years. During his middle school years he moved to Michigan where he enjoyed drawing and working on small electronics. He could take a radio apart and put it back together and it would work.
Braylon attended Mt. Ararat Baptist Church under the pastorage of the late Rev. Ernest L. Ford. He joined the choir and participated in various auxiliaries for teens.
Braylon moved back to Gadsden, AL during his high school years where he attended Gadsden City High School and received his high school diploma.
Braylon worked for the city of Gadsden in the Parks and Recreations department keeping the city clean.
Braylon loved Social Sciences where he worked as a caregiver for individuals with disabilities. He would often talk about how much he enjoyed his clients, but one particular gentleman, Braylon always said “He cool”.
Braylon is preceded in death by his grandfather Thomas E. Strickland and great-grandfather Herman Hughes, Sr.
Braylon is survived by his mother Tameka (Darryl) Hamilton, 2 brothers; Nickey R. (Jack) Strickland and Bakele T. Strickland. Wife Maci Taylor, 2 daughters Milli and Millani Taylor and an unborn son Braylon Jr. Nephew Za’Marian and nieces Bra’Niah and Gypsie. Great-Grandmother Mrs. Mary Hughes, Grandparents Kathleen (Edrick) Oliver. Great Aunt and Uncle Marilyn (Anthony) Bougere. Aunt Ean S. Strickland, Uncle Christopher Strickland; Uncle and Aunt Thomas C. (Kyundra) Strickland. Play Sisters/Cousins Octavia (Granny) Strickland, TChlindria and Porsche Williams, Carla Strickland, Harold Bougere and Ravon Keith. God Aunt Heather (Roc) Harris and Special Aunt Pameal Hunt. Special Cousins Kenneth, Marquavious, Jordan and DeVarius. Special Fiends Keyante’, Dede, Nero, Brian, Antonio, Denzel, Trey, Jamontez and Jamontavious.
Public Viewing will be Friday, July 7, 2023 from 12pm-6pm.
Funeral Services will he held on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Mission Baptist Church.
