Mr. Robert L. Vanzant,70,Birmingham, formally of Gadsden, passed away Sunday, March 29,2026. Mr. Vanzant is survived by his family. We ask that you please keep this family in your heart and prayers during their time of bereavement.
The Obituary
Mr. Robert Vanzant was a wonderful husband, father figure and mentor to local young men, He was known for protecting and providing for his family and would go to the earths end to do so.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Mrs. Charlsie and Mr. Homer Vanzant, grandmothers Mrs. Christine Vanzant and Mrs. McCain, grandfathers Mr. Willie D. Vanzant and Mr. McCain. His brothers Alvin, Ronnie, Shelly and Benjamin Vanzant and sister Mrs Margaret V. High.
He leaves to cherish loving memories, his dear wife Mrs. Paula English-Vanzant, sister Paula V. Moreland, five children Desmond (Katherine) Reed, Jerome L. Reed, Jaywanna (Antonio) Reed, Jilwanna (James) Lucas and Brittany Clayborn, 19 grandkids, 5 great grandkids and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 pm Saturday, April 4, 2026. In the Chapel of West Gadsden Funeral Home. Internment Lincoln Hill Memorial Park. Rev. Dr. Grady E. Robinson,Jr., Eulogist.
Visitation will be 9:00 am until time of service Saturday, April 4, 2026.
