Celebration of life will be 12pm Saturday January 31, 2026 at First Baptist Church Fort Payne 304 11th St. SE. Burial Glenwood Cemetery. Pastor Ralph Jelks Officiating.
The Obituary
Samuel Norris Bynum was born on November 12,
1954, to the union of Robert Samuel Bynum and Olivia Chambliss Bynum.
At an early age, he joined First Baptist Church of Douglas, where his spiritual foundation was nurtured.
Samuel received his education in the DeKalb County
School System and was a graduate of Fort Payne High
School. Known for his strong work ethic, he was a
dedicated employee at Yarns, Etc. before continuing his career at Harco Metals.
On January 25, 2026, Samuel peacefully departed this life. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Robert and Olivia Bynum, and his brother, Richard LaVan Chambliss.
Cherishing his memory is his two sons, Morris C. Bynum and Craig C. Bynum; one sister, Joyce A. Bynum; two brothers, Stevie R. Bynum and Randy Bynum; his beloved grandchildren, C.C., JuJu, Chady, Grace, Marcus, C.J., Tiera, Jornee, Majestic, Makayah, and Xvayain; one sister-in-law, Janice Chambliss; and a host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends, including Jerome Bickerstaff, Mark Brown, and Chase Bell. His life and legacy will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
