- Burial: Lincoln Hill Memorial Park (408 Miller Ave, Gadsden, Al.35904)
Steven Ladelle Vickers (Steve), age 64, of Gadsden, Alabama was born December 12, 1961, to the late Mrs. Lois Vickers and Mr. Preston Vickers in Gadsden, Alabama.
Steve attended Gadsden High School before earning his GED. Later, he completed Vocational Training in HVAC and Electrical Technology at Gadsden State Community College. Throughout his career, he worked for Christian Electric in Gadsden and later for Childrenβs Place in Fort Payne, Alabama.
An avid fan of Alabama Crimson Tide, Steve enjoyed supporting and following his favorite team.
Preceding him in death on July 27, 2026, was his parents; his son, Corderio Dupree Vicker; his sister, Cassandra Vickers; his brother, Anthony Vickers; his grandparents, Mrs. Annis Smith, Mrs. Zora Graham Vickers, Mr. Richard Wise and Mr. Robert Smith.
Steven leaves to cherish his loving memories: his children, Shundrika (Aaron) Clark, Steven Gaddis, Takisha (Ben) Payne and Trammel Rutledge; twelve grandchildren, Karei Miles, Aaron Clark, III, Stephanie Gaddis, Simone Gaddis, Steven Gaddis, Kash Felston, Sincerely Weatherton, Sasha Gaddis, Savannah Barrera, Zyβiana Walker, Kelis Payne and Bailey Payne; three brothers, Carey Vickers, Sr., Preston (Gail) Vickers and Cedric Reid; one sister, Sabrina Reid; one special stepsister, Jimmene Reid Sims; special nieces, Sheray Bell, Sumika Vickers, Danika Harris, Cherrelle Vickers, Denea Vickers and Devora Vickers; special nephews, Carey Vickers, Jr., Broderick King, Demetrius Jelks, Jr., Jamahl Jelks and Braxton Vickers; special cousins, Carol Lewis, Daryl Lewis and Preston Williams; one Godbrother, Kevin Veasy; special lady friend, Tammy Turner and special friend, Michael Chapelle.
