Obituary

William Carlton Lapsley was born February 9, 1963 to Elizabeth Cash (deceased). He was adopted as an infant by his parents, Creola and Charlie “Jack” Lapsley Sr. Both preceded him in death. He was their only child and they doted on him.

At an early age, he accepted Christ and united with Galilee Baptist Church.

He was educated in the Gadsden City School System and graduated from Gadsden High School.

William worked at Pilgrims Pride and he took pride in his job. He loved his family. Along with his parents, four siblings preceded him in death, Elaine Fleming, Patricia Gross, Nancy Hudson and Gwendolyn Fikes.

William received the call and made the transition to glory on March 30, 2020 at Riverview Regional Medical Center.

He leaves to cherish his memories: His sibling, Evyone (Keith) Dudley, Charlie Lapsley Jr., Teresa Fikes, Roosevelt Lapsley, Zallancia (Stokes) Spencer, Alkeeda (Ulyses) Johnson, Donald (Jeronda) Morgan, Victor Patterson Lapsley, Teresa Cash, Nakia Cash, Debra Cash, Brenda Cash, Darryl Cash, Doris Cash, Jonnie Cash, Barbara Cash, Edward Cash, Terry Cash, Benny Cash, Keanecus Cash, Fiala Cash, Charles (Julia) Cash, Muhammad (Greta) Hassan, Sandy Montgomery, Rosie Montgomery, Pricilla McCants, Irma Byers, and Regina Looney. Aunts; Lou Ellen McGruder (His legal guardian), Gladys Lapsley, Vera Jones, and Barbara (Blaine) Tindull, all of Marion, AL., Ollie Peyton, Carrollton, GA and Queen (Eddie) Kynard of Gadsden, AL. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
