"Well done thy good and faithful servant"... I have not seen Auxillary Bishop Butler in over 30 years, but I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I can say that he was responsible for my salvation! He is responsible for all that I learned and continue to carry with me. My middle son also says "Elder Butler was my first Pastor in my life" and he too remembers his teachings. Thank you so much, Bishop.My sincere condolences to his family.

To the children and family of Bishop Marcus Butler....I send heartfelt condolences to you all during this time. I had the honor of teaching at the Christian Academy School, and was blessed to render service under his leadership and being a part of those students at that time.He blessed me with a job and I am forever and eternally grateful for his, help, compassion and being the kind of Christian boss he was. Bishop Marcus Butler is known to the Shivers Family as a man who walked with God. He diffused the very essence of Holiness wherever he went, said, and done. He was our (The Shivers Family-Elder Isom Shivers & State Supervisor Ruthie Mae Shivers) covering father after the death of our grandfather "Elder Isom Shivers". He always counseled or made a special alter calls for us. We pay homage to you - We love you.
