Funeral Services will be held on Saturday May 6, 2023, 1:00 p.m., Union United Christ of Christ (Woodworth Chapel - Tougaloo College). Burial will be held on Tougaloo Cemetery, Tougaloo, MS

Dear Family Bernice and I were "birthday twins" sharing the same birthday and having met 49 years ago at U Wisc. We thank God for her life of service and her love of family, friends and travel. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Peace to all family and friends.

Mrs. Bernice Smith was one of the most kind-hearted, thoughtful, caring, sweetest and lovable people I have ever come to know. Soft-spoken but her God-gifted grace radiated outwardly to those blessed to experience her smile and soft voice. She has been very kind to me and Dad. She was a loyal Tougaloo College alum and devoted church member. Dearest Stephanie, we are sorry for your loss, however, I am grateful to God that he allowed you a beautiful time on earth with her and we will be praying for you and your family. -- In Christian Love, Denise D.
